We have a new Sunday roast kitchen starting this Sunday.
Catering company 'CD Catering Company' (voted best local caterers 08/09 - Digest Magazine, and who cater kitchens at both The Eddy, and Sussex University) will be providing the delectable Sunday Roast and oh my it looks good!
Not only do the choices sound amazing, rosmary and thyme leg of lamb, pan seared duck breast, all their meat is free-range and locally sourced. There are at least 6 postions of vegetables varying from creamy wholegrain mustard leeks to cinnamon & chilli infused butternut squash.
Vegetarian options rotate and they are starting with a smoked sun dried tomato, spinich and pine nut roast served with a red wine gravy.
If you're not feeling the roast there is also a limited menu of pub classics, such as meat and bean enchilada and Italian Meatballs.
There will also be a variety of homemade puddings and tea and coffee for 'afters'
The roasts start at £7.95 and go up to £8.50 for specials. There is a £2 discount for NUS and a discount of £1 for any roast bought between midday and 2pm for a limited time.
Sunday Roast at a Brighton Pub
Hi Everyone!
I would just like to make this first post (aside from the test post, of course) a welcome post to everyone that comes here.
We are a mediumish (we have no garden, just the outside area at the front) pub looking over The Level on Ditchling Road. We serve a wide range of drinks including the usual ciders, largers, ales and so on. What we have is a lovely selection of spirits on our back bar, which we like to sup on occasionally ;)
Food, we do Thai cuisine 7 days a week from 5pm - 10pm. Pokky our chef is fantastic and everything is made in-house and our main dishes and soups are cooked to order. We also do a Sunday roast, we actually have a new chef starting this weekend and word on the street is he is fantastic. But you'll have to find out for yourselves.......
